einen bezaubernd bunten Herbst-Beginn wünschen wir Euch!

Bezaubernd und verzaubernd wird im Radha-Govinda Tempel der Oktober mit all seinen besonderen Feierlichkeiten und Veranstaltungen. - Und ihr seid herzlich eingeladen zu kommen und die Festlichkeiten zu bereichern!

Das Programm für Oktober 2014 im Radha-Govinda Tempel Berlin:

08.10. (Mittwoch)

Beginn von Kartik - dem für Krsna liebsten und somit für uns heiligsten Monat im Jahr

Wir laden euch herzlich ein mit uns zusammen den Kartik zu beginnen. Wir treffen uns um 18:00 Uhr zum gemeinsamen Singen des Damodara Astaka - ein Lied zu Ehren Krsnas in der Erscheinung von Damodara.

Wir werden den gesamtem Kartik jeden Morgen zwischen 5:00 und 6:00 Uhr und jeden Abend zwischen 18:00 und 18:30 Uhr gemeinsam das Lied singen und ein Licht zu Damodara opfern. - Wir freuen uns über Eure mitsingenden Stimmen :)

Living means feasting!

Balarama Purnima, Krsna Janmastami, Radhastami and the Long Night Of the Religions - the Berlin Temple has been blessed with four extraordinary festivals in the last weeks.

On Sunday, August 10th, we celebrated the Appearance Day of Lord Balarama - Krsna´s elderly brother.  Bhajans, nice words about Balarama´s pastimes from various Devotees, an offering ceremony to Lord Balarama, an ecstatic Kirtan and in the end delicious prasadam together with Varuni - the favourite drink of the Birthday Child. It was a joyful festival! - Also, it has been Dhanya´s Birthday. Tatata, for her we also cheered and congratulated!

Exactly one week later we had another beautiful reason to cheer, laugh, sing, be ecstatically happy: it has been the Birthday of the Unborn - Krsna Janmastami, Krsna´s Birthday! It was a glittering festival with many guests, Bhajans, Abisheka (Bathing Ceremony), introducing as well as deepening words of Govinda Vilas d, Vamsi Vadhana d and Dina Bandu d, 148 preparations and an exhilarating Kirtan! Tatata, and again we had a second Birthday Child: Gauramrita dd! Happy Birthday!

"Krsna consciousness is about celebrating. We celebrate the glories of the Lord every single day" our beloved Gurudeva is always stressing. Indeed! On September 2nd we celebrated Radhastami - the Appearance Day of Radharani.

"tapta-kancana-gaurangi radhe vrindavanesvari
vrishabhanu-sute devi pranamami hari-priye"

"I offer my respects to Radharani, whose bodily complexion is like molten gold

and who is the Queen of Vrindavana.

You are the daughter of King Vrisabhanu,

and You are very dear to Lord Krishna."

Bhajans, a beautiful lecture by Madhava Swami who visited us for that day, the mercyful ceremony of writing and offering letters to Radharani, and even getting a bag of Maha-Sweets from Her, Kirtan and 163 preparations being offered to the Birthday Child. What a blissful festival!

On September, 6th all the religious places in Berlin opened their doors for the Long Night of the Religions. It is a yearly event which is organized by the city. The Radha-Govinda Temple took also part. Haladhara d, being our head for the interreligious exchanges, took care of all the guests coming to the temple. Also other Devotees helped to make that evening enriching for every participant. Bhajans, words about the path of Bhakti-Yoga, prasadam and personal talks gave every guest a satisfied smile in their eyes.
