Berlin-sacred places / Berlin-sakrale orte

In the world many times are happening amazing things. One of them this days is the book "Berlin - sakrale orte",which gives information about the different churches and temples in Berlin, many beautiful pictures and a little text for more clearness for the readers.Amongst all old  and neu monuments of human faith, there are two pages for our Vrinda center in Germany :) They are different chapters with a bit hystorical touch. We are in the chapter "The new millennium".:)This publication makes us very happy:)! That the autors of the book considered the present of Gandharvika Govinda Sundaram as important and sacred for this big city of many interests.

Here is the cover of the book :

The first page :

You can see the enterance of the reception-boutique of Kurukshetra ashram, then the way to the temple room, some sacred pictures on the wow,Bhakti Raksak Swami Maharaj in the time when he was still giving mercy in Berlin ,we are missing a lot the His asosiation.Good luck in Mexico,Maharaj!!! :)
....and on the last picture is the templeroom.

And the second page is coming :

Their Lordhips-Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Gandharvika Govinda Sundaram ki jay!!!

Sri Nsrmha Bhagavan Ki Jay!

Prema Kishor, our dear and transcendental pujari, who is a great example for humbleness and devotion :)

In the text they are mentioning our adress, that we have a vegetarian club where people can come daily for a meal. They wrote that we are following the teachings of the Gaudiya-Vaishnavism,a monoteistic part of the Hinduism. That we believe in one God who can appear in different forms, that´s why one can see different deities of God,They wrote about our dear Guru Deva, the Spiritual Leader of the comunity and about his incredible and mercyful tours around the world,in which he doesn´t stay on one place longer than a week.Little info about the Guru parampara and their pictures in the temple room.At last is explained about the daily rhythm in the Radha-Krsna temple, starting from 05.00 AM ,including a lot of offerings and ceremonies for the deities on the oltar.Written are also the names of Bhakti Raksaka Swami Maharaj and Govinda Thaler, who are praying with mantras to the deities,as we can see on one of  the pictures.

Guru Deva Ki jay!

Passing of Srila Bhakti Sundara Govinda Maharaja

At about 4:30am yesterday, 27 March 2010, Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj passed away from our vision by his own sweet will and surrounded by sannyasis and servitors chanting softly. His holy form was presently taken with a convoy of vehicles from our Dum Dum Park Temple, Kolkata, to Navadvipa, where this afternoon (28.03)  was given samadhi close to the Samadhi Mandir of his beloved Srila Guru Maharaj, Srila Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj.
2 p.m. update from Nabadwip: Srila Gurudev’s holy body was brought before the deities here at Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math. Accompanied by continuous kirtana, devotees garlanded His Divine Grace and offered flowers and prayers. Bathing took place just
now on the plinth of the ‘Temple of Union in Separation’ where chanting continues.
Live online BlogTV broadcasts are taking place throughout the afternoon:
TVdarshan broadcast by Anukrishna Devi dasi of Russia
and Vaishnavadarshan TV broadcast by Nimai Chandra Prabhu.

Srila Govinda Maharaja joined Srila Sridhara Maharaja in 1947 at the age of seventeen and it was announced shortly thereafter that he would become Srila Sridhara Maharaja’s successor. Almost forty years later this proclamation came to pass and in 1985 Srila Govinda Maharaja inherited the service of acarya of the international Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math mission. Srila Govinda Maharaja was integral in spreading Srila Sridhara Maharaja’s teachings throughout the global Gaudiya community, nourishing countless devotees in the process and continuing to guide and nourish them after the departure of his beloved Guru Maharaja. Srila Bhakti Sundara Govinda-Dev Goswami’s departure is a great loss to the Gaudiya Vaishnava community.

गौराङ्ग

गौराङ्ग (gaurāṅga ) means "having a white or yellowish body", from gaura "white, yellowish, reddish" and aṅga "limb, member; the body".

Sri Siksastakam
(the eight verses from Mahaprabhu)

ceto-darpana-marjanam bhava-maha-davagni-nirvapanam
sreyah-kairava-candrika-vitaranamvidya-vadhu-jivanam
anandambudhi-vardhanam prati-padam purnamrtasvadanam
sarvatma-snapanam param vijayate sri-krsna-sankirtanam

Translation

The holy name of Krsna cleanses the mirror of the heart and extinguishes the fire of misery in the forest of birth and death.
As the evening lotus blooms in the moon's cooling rays, the heart begins to blossom in the nectar of the name.
And at last the soul awakens to its real inner treasure —a life of love with Krsna.
Again and again tasting nectar, the soul dives and surfaces in the ever-increasing ocean of ecstatic joy.
All phases of the self of which we may conceive are fully satisfied and purified, and at last conquered by the all-auspicious influence of the holy name of Krsna.

                                            <3

namnam akari bahudha nija sarva-saktis
tatrarpita niyamitah smarane na kalah
etadrisi tava krpa bhagavan mamapi
durdaivam idrsam ihajani nanuragah

Translation

O my Lord, Your holy name bestows auspiciousness upon all. And You have unlimited names such as Krsna and Govinda by which You reveal Yourself.
In Your many holy names You have kindly invested all Your transcendental potency. And in chanitng these names, there are no strict rules concerning time or place.
Out of Your cuaseless mercy, You have descended in the form of divine sound, but my great misfortune is that I have no love for Your holy name.

                                             <3

trnad api sunicena
taror api sahisnuna
amanina manadena
kirtaniyah sada harih

Translation

One who is humbler than a blade of grass, more forbearing than a tree who gives due honor to others without desiring it for himself is qualified to always chant the holy name of Krsna.

                                             <3

na dhanam na janam na sundarim
kavitam va jagad-isa kamaye
mama janmani janmanisvare
bhavatad bhaktir ahaituki tvayi

Translation

0 Lord, I have no desires to accumulate wealth, followers, beautiful women, or salvation.
My only prayer is for Your causeless devotional service, birth after birth.

                                            <3

ayi nanda-tanuja kinkaram
patitam mam visame bhavambudhau
krpaya tava pada-pankaja-
sthita-dhuli-sadrsam vicintaya

Translation

O son of Nanda Maharaja, I am Your eternal servant, yet because of my own karma, I have fallen into this terrible ocean of birth and death. Accept this fallen soul and consider me a particle of dust at Your holy lotus feet.

                                             <3

nayanam galad-asru-dharaya
vadanam gadgada-ruddhayd gira
pulakair nicitam vapuh kada
tava nama-grahane bhavisyati

Translation

0 Lord, when will tears flow from my eyes like waves? And my voice tremble in ecstasy. When will the hairs of my body stand on end while chanting Your holy name?

                                            <3

yugayitam nimesena
caksusa pravrsayitam
sunyayitam jagat sarvarh
govinda-virahena me

Translation
O Govinda! Without You, the world is empty. Tears are flooding my eyes like rain, and a moment seems like forever.

                                             <3

aslisya va pada-ratam pinastu mam
adarsana marma-hatam karotu va
yatha tatha va vidadhatu lampato
mat-prana-nathas tu sa eva naparah

Translation

Krsna may embrace me in love or trample me under His feet. He may break my heart by hiding Himself from me. Let that debauchee do whatever He likes, but He will always be the only Lord of my life.

 Kurukshetra,Invalidenstr.145,Berlin

Diving deep into the reality
of His own beauty and sweetness,
Krsna stole the mood of Radharani
And, garbing Himself in Her brilliant luster,
Appeared as Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

For the last twelve years of His manifest pastimes
He was deeply absorbed in union and separation
And shared His heart's inner feelings
With His most confidential devotees.

Volcanic eruptions of ecstasy flowed
From His heart in the agony of separation from Krsna.

And His teachings known as Sri Siksastakam
Appeared from His lips like streams of golden lava.

I fall at the feet of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu The Golden Volcano of Divine Love.

Lord Nityananda's appearance day

"So today, the appearance day of Nityänanda Prabhu... Nityänanda Prabhu is Baladeva, Baladeva-tattva.So Balaräma... In the Vedic literature it is said, näyam ätmä bala-hinena labhyaù; na bahunä çrutena. So bala means strength. This bala, this strength, is different from the material strenght. This is spiritual strength. So today is Nityänanda Prabhu’s appearance day. We shall always pray Nityänanda Prabhu, “Kindly keep me under your shelter so that...I am very unhappy. Under the shelter of Your lotus feet I shall be happy.” And that is real happiness. "
